All articles published in the Journal of Advances in Environmental Health Research are permanently available, irrespective of the results of any subsequent peer review. Every version of the articles that has undergone peer review is permanently archived in PubMed Central.

To uphold the integrity and completeness of the scholarly record, the Journal of Advances in Environmental Health Research adheres to the COPE Policies on Retraction Guidelines for instances where published content requires correction or retraction. These guidelines reflect the current best practices in scholarly publishing. According to COPE, the journal's editors may consider retracting a publication under the following circumstances:

• There is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, whether due to misconduct (e.g., data fabrication) or honest error (e.g., miscalculation or experimental error).
• The findings have been previously published elsewhere without appropriate cross-referencing, permission, or justification (i.e., cases of redundant publication).
• The publication involves plagiarism.
• The research reported is deemed unethical.

The editors of the Journal of Advances in Environmental Health Research may issue an expression of concern under the following circumstances:

• They receive inconclusive evidence of research or publication misconduct by the authors.
• There is evidence suggesting that the findings are unreliable, but the authors' institution refuses to investigate the matter.
• They believe that an investigation into the alleged misconduct related to the publication has not been, or would not be, conducted in a fair, impartial, or conclusive manner.
• An investigation is ongoing, but a resolution will take a significant amount of time.

The editors may also consider issuing a correction in cases where:

• A minor part of an otherwise reliable publication is found to be misleading, particularly due to honest error.
• The author/contributor list is incorrect, such as omitting a deserving author or including someone who does not meet authorship criteria.

Retractions are generally not warranted if:

• A change in authorship is needed, but there is no reason to doubt the validity of the findings.
